Gaultheria procumbens

Foraged from the woodlands at Brightside, where it flourishes beneath mountain laurel thickets, wintergreen has long been prized by Native American herbalists for its anti-inflammatory properties. It has been used in the treatment of joint pain, back pain, arthritis and rheumatism. It is also effective in relieving colic and excess gas. Wintergreen contains salicylic acid and thus many of the properties of aspirin.

These aromatic leaves have a rich menthol flavor.

Packaged in classic eight-ounce recycled aluminum tins.
