Great Time at Augusta!

Brightside is very pleased to announce that we had a terrific time at our first festival. Providing tastes of our fruit preparations was a real people-pleaser. And watching customers react to unique flavors such as Rosehip Butter, which sold out early (Don't fret, we'll have more when the sweetbrier ripens next month!), and combinations such as Blackberry & Elderberry and Dewberry & Rhubarb was truly gratifying. Again and again, we heard the wonderful words: "Mmmm. That is truly delicious!"

In addition to a variety of fruit spreads, purees, essences and butters, we also sold herbal teas handcrafted from the flowers and leaves of plants growing in the fields and gardens at Brightside: blackberry, black raspberry, chamomile, red clover, spearmint and yarrow.

Colorful torches made from the dried stalk of the mullein plant fascinated children and adults. For some, the torches brought back memories of grandparents who used the tallow-dipped stalks as lamps.

Now that the Fall harvest season is upon us, we'll be busy crafting new preparations and replenishing our inventory. Given the overwhelming interest in gift boxes and sets, we'll be adding these to the General Store in time for Christmas.
