74th Annual Mountain State Forest Festival

Brightside Acres had a most rewarding time at the 74th Annual Mountain State Forest Festival, October 7-9 in Elkins, West Virginia. As participants in the Juried Art & Crafts Exhibit, located in the Elkins YMCA, we shared space with talented artisans in jewelry, basketry, woodcraft, clothing, plants and candles. And we met a lot of wonderful people!

We sold out of many of our most-favored products, including Autumnberry Butter, Blackberry & Elderberry Essence, Blackberry & Elderberry Spread, Blueberry Spread, Blueberry & Serviceberry Spread, Crabapple Cherry Puree, Dewberry & Rhubarb Spread, Elderberry & Hawthorn Butter, Rosehip Butter, and Sumac Essence.

Herbal teas were a big hit, with lots of interest in Blackberry, Black Raspberry, Chamomile, Lemon Balm, Mullein, Nettle and Wild Mint preparations.

We expect to have our herbal teas available in teapot-sized bags, tins, and sets throughout the Winter/Spring of 2010/11.
